US Natural Gas Inches Up on Brief Cold Snap, Oil Price Gains

US natural gas futures ended slightly higher as a short bout of cold weather increased demand for the heating and power-plant fuel.

Rising oil prices, which have influenced the front-month US gas contract since the war in Iran broke out, may also be pushing prices higher.
